Review
This is official description
The first thing you do when you start using a computer....Play the most popular and classic card game. This is one of the classic original card games ever made. The game has probably become one of the most popular games since its inclusion in Windows 95. We wish you good luck!
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.0
Play Solitaire Forever is the classic solitaire game that comes with Windows in which you must pile up all the cards from the deck and table from ace to K in order by suit in the corresponding places at the top of the screen (called picking fields). The cards on the table are arranged in seven columns that have one revealed card each and the rest are faced down below this one. You can use the cards from these piles or take cards from the deck, arranging them in way that the value is lower and the color is the opposite than the one you place the card on, in order to reveal as many face-down cards as possible. The cards from the deck are drawn by three at a time. If any of the seven columns becomes free, you can only place a King there.
Once you have revealed all the face-down cards, you can click on the Autofinish button to send all available cards to the picking fields automatically. Sometimes, you can use the UNDO button, which allows you to undo an action. There are also 4 bonus cards, one per suit, which can be placed on the picking field to score more points. The game includes five different card layouts, namely, classic, erotic, gangsters, Japan, and prehistoric which come with a related background.
Regarding the graphics, they are very simple, and certainly not really attractive. Sound effects are average and it has no music.
All in all, Play Solitaire Forever is a classic solitaire game which offers no difference with the one that comes with Windows, but if you don't have it, you can download and play it for free. |
